WI captain to miss IPL

West Indies captain Chris Gayle is set to miss the entire first edition of the Indian Premier League according to reports out of India.
The Jamaican captain sustained a groin injury in the third One-Day International in St. Lucia.
He missed Kolkata’s first two games.
However, a spokesman for the franchise said yesterday that a final decision was to be made.
Gayle was one of four West Indies players signed to play in the league. The other are Dwayne Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan.
Gayle had sign an annual fee of US$800,000 dollars to play for Kolkata.
