Munro, JC advance to final
Defending champions Munro College and Jamaica College have earned the right to contest the final of the Jamaica Hockey Federation Under-19 boys’ competition following easy semi-final victories yesterday at the Mona Hockey turf.
Munro stayed on course to defend their title following a 1-0 victory over Wolmer’s Boy in the first semi-final. Brandon Clarke scored the lone goal of the game.
Jamaica College advanced courtesy of a 3-0 victory over Tivoli Gardens in the second semi-final. Kemar Mitchell scored all three goals.
Meanwhile, the last semi-final spot in the girls’ competition will be decided this afternoon when all ready qualified Excelsior meet Immaculate.
Immaculate need to beat Excelsior by four clear goals to advance ahead of Alpha.
Defending champions Papine High, St Andrew High and Excelsior have already qualified for Friday’s final.
