Canada defeat Reggae Girls

Jamaica suffered a 4-1 defeat to Canada in their opening Group ‘B’ match of the CONCACAF Under-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers last night in Costa Rica.
It was also the opening game for the Canadians.
Shenika Williams scored the lone goal for the young Reggae Girls in the 76th minute.
In the group other game last night, Mexico easily defeated Panama 6-0.
Jamaica will play their second game against Mexico tomorrow and their final match against Panama on Monday.
The competition continues this evening with Group ‘B’ teams in action.
Two sides will emerge from the eight-team championship to advance to the Under-17 World Cup along with host Trinidad in September.
