Perennial champions Jamaica will defend their Caribbean Netball Association Jean Pierre Under-16 netball title next month with five returning players from last year’s successful unit.

Vanessa Jones, Khadijah Williams, Adean Thomas, Dhanyel Johnson and Tristina Harwood will all be returning to the 2010 championship slated for Barbados from April 8 to 18.

Joan Cargill retains the coaching job while Cora Ricketts as manager.

The Jamaicans have won every regional Under-16 netball tournament they have contested with the exception of 2005 when they were unseated as champions by Barbados.

Jamaica missed the 1999 tournament in Barbados where St Vincent and the Grenadines emerged as champions.

The remaining members of the squad are Chiquana Reid, Kelleisha Freckleton, Chrishena Copeland, Sade Ffrench, Trudianne Pennant, Adean Thomas, Azeza McCarthy and Kaneila Riley.
