The United States House of Represenatives has passed the Senate\'s health care reform bill and a package of measures to reconcile differences between the Senate bill and the one it passed last year.

The House voted 220-211 for the bill.

President Obama, who had made health care reform a priority for his administration, said that the House\'s vote on health care was the right one.

In an address following the voting, President Obama descibed this as a victory for the American people.

He said he while he acknowledged that the reform plan will not fix all the issues with America’s health care system, the affrimivate vote by the House was a move in the right direction.

The reconciliation package now heads to the Senate.

The Bill will among other things result in tougher regulation for health insurance companies and increased taxes to pay for a better health care system.
