Afridi named Pakistan captain for 20/20

Shahid Afridi was today appointed captain of defending champion Pakistan for the World 20/20 in West Indies.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesman Nadeem Sarwar says the appointment was made by chairman Ijaz Butt.
Pakistan selected their 15-player squad earlier this month but had delayed picking the captain.
The tournament runs from April 30 to May 16.
Pakistan are in Group A with Australia and Bangladesh with top two teams advancing to the next round.
