Private police work frowned on in St Lucia

St Lucia\'s Home Affairs Minister Guy Mayers is expressing concern about police personnel doing private work without the permission of the Police Commissioner.
The Home Affairs Minister wants to put a stop to the practice.
He said anyone who wants the services of police personnel should comply with the regulations governing employment.
Mr Myers’ concerns follow the recent shooting death of a policeman and the wounding of his partner, as they escorted a night deposit for a private local facility.
