Nevis to develop renewable energy

Officials in Nevis say they have already selected a location to develop a wind farm.



One of the key people behind the project is wind energy developer and Chief Financial Officer of WINDWATT Power Canada Inc., Ken Burditt.



Officials in the Nevisian capital, Charlestown, quote him as saying that his family\'s love for Nevis and the need to reduce energy costs were among reasons they are committed to implementing the energy project.



Nevis is also developing its geothermal energy potential through a project being done by West Indies Power.
