STETHS reach Headley Cup final

Reigning champions St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) booked their place in the final of the ISSA Grace Headley Cup after destroying first-time semi-finalists Tacky High by an innings and 241 runs at Chedwin Park in St Catherine yesterday.



Resuming from their overnight 62 for two, chasing STETHS’ first innings total of 451 for seven declared, Tacky High were bowled out for 135.



West Indies Under-19 player John Campbell top scored with 53.



Bowling for STETHS, Brian Gayle ended with three for 17, Cassius Burton three for 31 and Donovan Nelson three for 57.



STETHS enforced the follow-on and Tacky High batting a second time crashed to 75 against the bowling of Burton five for 22 and Nelson three for 27.



STETHS, who are seeking their fourth straight hold on the title, now await the winner of the other semi-final between Holmwood Technical and Manchester High.
