Reggae Boy free to play after red card pulled
Reggae Boy Kevin Lisbie will be available for Colchester’s playoff push in English League One after having his red card on Tuesday night rescinded.
The 31-year-old was sent off in the 90th minute for an off the ball incident at the Valley in London as Colchester slipped to a 1-0 defeat away to Charlton Athletic.
Following an appeal and a subsequent review of the incident, Lisbie was cleared of any breach.
The decision means Lisbie, who has already netted 12 times this season, will be available for the final four games of the season as Colchester hunt maximum points to land a place in the playoffs.
They are currently three points outside the playoff zone in seventh spot, needing to finish in the top six to qualify.
A failed appeal would have seen Lisbie missing the rest of the season.
