NCB Polo tournament begins

Four professional polo players from Argentina will be in action later this afternoon as the World Class NCB Capital Markets Limited High Goal Polo tournament begins at the Kingston Polo Club.



Four teams, each featuring an Argentine player, will be in action.



The top two will play in the Championship Match slated for Sunday morning at 11.30. The losers will play for third place, also on Sunday.



Today’s action begins at 3.30 p.m. with NCB White Team against NCB Blue Team in the opening semi-final match.



The other semi-final game will feature NCB Gold Team against NCB Blue Team, beginning at 4.30 p.m.



Leslie-Ann Fung-Yee, a member of the organising committee, says the presence of the Argentine players should benefit the local players.



The tournament is rated at 14 goals, which makes it the highest handicap competition in Jamaica’s Polo.
