Innswood High lift Knockout title

Innswood High School defeated Kingston College by four wickets to lift the ISSA/Jamaica International Insurance Company Limited Overs Knockout cricket title at Melbourne Oval earlier this afternoon.



The 50-over-a-side final was reduced to 45 overs because of rain.



As a result of the victory, Innswood High have captured the double after gaining their first hold on the Grace Shield league title recently.



Kingston College, sent in to bat, were blown away for 102 off 33.5 overs and Innswood replied with 104 for six off 24.5 overs.



Kemar Foster topscored for Innswood with 20 and was well supported by Oraine Williams 20, Terrence Brown 17 not out, Dwayne Bennett 15 and Jermaine Williams 12 not out.



JoWayne Buchanan took most wickets for KC with three for 33, while captain Akeem Dewar chipped in with two for 24.



Number nine batsman Demoy Williams made most runs for KC with 22, while Maurice Smith and Andre Sepal scored 12 runs apiece.



Bowling for Innswood High, Dwaine Pusey captured four for 10 off nine overs, Peat Salmon took three for 15 off 4.5 overs and Michael Powell had two for 18 off nine overs.
