Jamaica Usain Bolt in action at Penn Relays today

Sprint phenomenon Usain Bolt will highlight the 116th edition of the Penn Relays when the event gets underway today at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.



The World record-holder in both the 100 and 200 metres will be anchoring one of two Jamaica men’s 4 x 100 teams entered for the April 22 to 23 meet.



Former 100 metres World record-holder Asafa Powell is expected to anchor the other Jamaica team.



While teams are yet to be disclosed, it is expected that Powell could lead home a relay side that includes Michael Frater and Nesta Carter while Bolt could feature with Yohan Blake and Marvin Anderson.



Both Bolt and Powell will feature on Saturday evening, the final day of the meet, which will see Race One of the USA versus The World series.



The Penn Relays will feature athletes from more than 60 countries doing battle in over 400 high school, college and professional races



Thirty-nine high school teams and six college teams from Jamaica are scheduled to take part



Jamaica high schools will be looking to retain five Championships of America relay titles.
