The Trinidadian Guardian has reported that West Indies ‘A’ team manager Omar Khan has quit as a West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) employee.
The newspaper said Khan, who is currently in Grenada with the West Indies ‘A’ side, had forwarded his resignation letter to WICB president Julian Hunte earlier this week.
Khan is said to be upset with the treatment meted out to him by the WICB, after being replaced as senior team manager for the Test and One-Day Internationals tour of Australia last year, and Zimbabwe’s tour of the Caribbean.
WICB director Joel Garner was selected for those tours and is expected to continue as manager for the World 20/20 Championship and the ensuing series against South Africa.
