US detains passenger in San Juan

US federal agents say they removed a man described as a potential person of interest from a flight during a fuel stopover in Puerto Rico yesterday.



US Customs and Border Protection gave no other details.



However the flight captain says the man had been added to a roster of people banned from travel to the US while the plane was in flight.



US officials typically do not confirm whether any specific individual is on the no-fly list.



It was not clear what triggered suspicions about the man.
