Innswood against STETHS
Innswood High, sent in to bat, were 266 for eight at Sports Time on today’s opening day of the two-day Spalding Cup playoff against defending champions St Elizabeth Technical High (STETHS) in Santa Cruz.
Three batsmen have so far scored half centuries for the Grace Shield and Limited Overs Knockout champions.
Kemar Foster is undefeated on 67, while Orane Williams 67 and Peat Salmon 60 had put on 112 for the first wicket.
Right-arm spinner Donovan Nelson has so far taken six wickets for STETHS, while Brian Gayle chipped in with two.
The schools are searching for three titles this season.
Innswood, who defeated Eltham High to win their first Grace Shield title this year went on to secure the double by beating Kingston College by four wickets in the knockout competition last week.
STETHS have already bagged the Grace Headley Cup and the knockout title.
