JHA playoffs postponed

The Jamaica Hockey Association yesterday postponed the third place playoffs in the boys’ and girls’ Under-16 school competitions because of two-day strike action by members of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association.
The third place playoffs have been rescheduled to Monday, May 10, while the final will now take place on Wednesday, May 12.
Papine High are in both third place playoffs.
In the girls’ third place playoff they will face off with Excelsior and then take on Tivoli Gardens in the boys’ third place playoff. Both games will be played at the Mona Hockey turf.
The finals will also take place at the Mona Hockey turf with defending girls champions St Andrew High playing Alpha Academy and reigning boys’ champions Munro College facing Mona High.
