Spanish troops have left Haiti after wrapping up a three-month mission to help victims of the January 12 earthquake.
The 450-strong contingent left yesterday.
The BBC Caribbean reports that while in Haiti the troops treated more than 8,300 people and vaccinated some 21,000.
The Defence Ministry in Madrid says the troops also helped remove tonnes of rubble from devastated homes and reopened roads.
