West Indies ‘A’ beat South Africa ‘A’
Darren Bravo slammed an undefeated century and Lionel Baker took a four-wicket haul to lead West Indies ‘A’ to a comfortable 81-run victory over South Africa ‘A’ in their third match of the Tri-Nation Limited Overs Series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Bangladesh today.
Bravo scored 107 not out from 119 balls as West Indies, batting first after winning the toss, piled up 295 for five off their allotted 50 overs.
Bravo received good support from Brendan Nash, who scored a run-a-ball 71 and Kirk Edwards, who got 50 from 31 balls.
Baker and Gavin Tonge then shared seven wickets to rip out South Africa ‘A’ for 214 off 44.3 overs.
Baker ended with four for 32 off 10 overs, while Tonge had three for 47 off 7.3 overs.
Shane Shillingford chipped in with two for 39 off 10 overs.
Thami Tsolekile 42, Morne van Wyk 34, David Miller 31 and Dean Elgar 30 were the main scorers for South Africa.
