Premier League hunt begins tomorrow
The 2010 Digicel Premier League playoffs will kick off tomorrow with two matches.
In the opening games, western kingpins Reno entertain Kingston and St Andrew Football Association champions Cavalier at the Frome Sport Complex in Montego Bay and South Central winners Meadows tackle Eastern Confederation Super League winners Benfica at Spanish Town Prison Oval.
Both games are scheduled to start at 3.30pm.
The four teams are battling for two spots to next season’s Digicel Premier League. They will play round robin on a home and away basis, with points determining the qualifiers.
Reno, who were relegated from top-flight football last season, are highly fancied to return to the premiership. They finish their league unbeaten, winning the title with a game to spare.
Cavalier will also seek to make their return to top-flight football after a 10-year absence.
