West Indies selectors have named an unchanged squad for the fifth One-day International against South Africa, opting to retain left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn despite his run-in with captain Chris Gayle.

Benn was sent off for insubordination during West Indies’ seven-wicket loss to South Africa in the fourth One Day on Sunday, prompting speculation he would be dropped for the final game scheduled for the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad tomorrow.

However, Benn was named in the 14-man squad yesterday but fined 100 per cent of his match fee for the incident.

During Sunday’s game at Windsor Park in Dominica, Benn refused to follow a directive from Gayle to bowl over the wicket and was subsequently asked to leave the field by the Jamaican captain.

West Indies will now turn their attention to avoiding a whitewash in the five-match series, where they already trail 4-0.

Members of the 14-man squad are Chris Gayle (captain), Dwayne Bravo, Dale Richards, Travis Dowlin, Shiv Chanderpaul, Darren Bravo, Narsingh Deonarine, Darren Sammy, Kieron Pollard, David Bernard, Denesh Ramdin, Sulieman Benn, Jerome Taylor and Ravi Rampaul.
