Team for CAC Game named

World Youth bronze medallist Travis Smikle and Chad Wright of Calabar High along with Natoya Goule and Odane Skeen head Jamaica’s 83-member track and field team to the Central American and Caribbean Games, scheduled for Santo Domingo from July 2 to 4.



Wright and Skeen were a double-winner at the Junior Trials, which were held last weekend at G.C. Foster College in Spanish Town.



Wright won the Under-20 discus by beating Smikle and then took the shot put title.



Skeen of Wolmer’s took the Boys’ Under-17 sprint double, while Goule won the Under-20 800-title at the trials.



Also included in the squad are Edwin Allen’s Ristananna Tracey, who won the girls’ Under-20 400 hurdles, Chris Ann Gordon and Janieve Russell.



Michael Carr will travel as coach.
