Australia midfielder Vince Grella was ruled out yesterday from his team\'s squad for the crucial World Cup match against Ghana after injuring his knee at training.

With midfielder Tim Cahill also missing after being sent off in the opening 4-0 loss to Germany and doubts over forward Harry Kewell\'s ability to play a major role, Grella\'s injury is a blow to a team needing to avoid defeat to stay alive in the competition.

Australia play Ghana tomorrow at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.

While a Nigerian man was sentenced to three years in prison by a World Cup-dedicated court in South Africa for being in unlawful possession of 30 match tickets.

Police say Kunle Benjamin was sentenced today after he could not give a satisfactory explanation why he had the tickets in his possession.

Benjamin was stopped in his car in the South African capital Pretoria when police noticed him driving erratically.

Police said in a statement that a magistrate at the World Cup court convicted Benjamin of possessing stolen property. He was incarcerated without the option of a fine.
