Seven Jamaicans for Prefontaine Classic

World and Olympic 100-metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser is among seven Jamaicans confirmed for this Saturday’s Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, United States of America.



It will be the sixth stop of the new-look Diamond League series.



Fraser is down to contest the women’s 100 metres.



The race also includes two other Jamaicans. They are two-time Olympic 200-metre champion Veronica Campbell-Brown and Beijing Olympic Games 100-metre silver medallist Sherone Simpson along with American Carmelita Jeter, the second fastest woman ever over the distance.



The other Jamaicans down to compete are Kenia Sinclair in the women’s 800 metres, Kaliese Spencer in the women’s 400-metre hurdles and Korene Hinds and Mardrea Hyman in the women’s 3000-metre steeplechase.



Hyman enters the event as the pacesetter.
