Jamaica's Goal attack, Ann-Kay Griffiths, was denied an in-transit visa by the United States Embassy to travel with the national netball team for a two-Test series in Australia and New Zealand.
President of the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA), Marva Bernard, says Griffiths, along with seven other members of the squad, went to the embassy on the same day and all received visas expect for Griffiths.
Bernard says Griffiths is very devastated, because it was the first time she had been selected to represent her country.
However, Bernard says the national association will appeal the decision.
The Jamaicans will oppose Australia on August 8 and 15, before traveling to New Zealand, where they will battle the hosts on August 18 and 21.
