Jamaica's Usain Bolt to headline Athletissima meeting today

The Diamond League returns to Europe today at the Athletissima meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland, with the main spotlight falling on double World record holder, Usain Bolt’s return to action.



The undisputed sprint champion of the World from Jamaica, is taking doctor’s orders, and will limit himself to the 100 metres, instead of the 200 he was originally listed to run on the programme.



Bolt is scheduled to take the track at 1.48pm this afternoon Jamaica time. The race also features his Jamaican teammates, Ainsley Waugh and Yohan Blake.



Shericka Williams, Novlene Williams-Mills and Rosemarie Whyte will be the first Jamaicans to take the track. They are down to compete in the women’s 400 metres at 1.03pm.



World and Olympic 100-metre champion, Shelly-Ann Fraser, is down to compete in the women’s 100-metres at 2.05pm along with her Jamaican teammates, Sherone Simpson and Sheri-Ann Brooks.



Other Jamaicans listed to take part are, Vonette Dixon, Delloreen Ennis-London, Isa Phillips, Dwight Thomas and Jermaine Gonzales.
