Football – FIFA to make refereeing changes for further World Cup

Goal-line technology is back on the agenda after FIFA says the World Cup in South Africa is set to be the last tournament under the existing refereeing system.

FIFA general secretary, Jerome Valcke, says TV replays showing Frank Lampard scoring a goal against Germany, which was disallowed, was a bad day for organisers.

Valcke suggested changes would be made before the 2014 World Cup.
