Harris wins double title at Pan Caribbean champs

Third seed Daniel Harris of Hydel Academy was crowned double champions at the Pan Caribbean All-Jamaica Junior Tennis Championships, which ended yesterday at Tennis Jamaica.



Harris won his first title by defeating Jordan Harris 6-4, 6-0 in the Under-18 final and later in the day he carved out a 3-6, 6-0, 6-3 victory over Number One seed Horatio Ludford to win the Under-16 crown.



In the girls’ section, Sicquena Sinclair took the Under-18 title, while Shantal Blackwood was crowned Under-16 champions.



Nia Rose contested both finals but lost to Sinclair and Blackwood by identical 6-2, 6-2 score lines.



Meanwhile, Simon Levy won the Boys’ Under-14 title and Shaeann Kameka took the Girls’ Under-14 crown.
