Australia struggling against Pakistan

Australia, sent in to bat, were struggling on 227 for nine at Sports Time on day one of the first Test against Pakistan at Lord’s in England.



Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamer have led the bowling for Pakistan so far with three wickets apiece, while Danish Kaneria supported with two.



Opener Simon Katich recorded the only half-century for the Australians. He was dismissed by Asif for 80.



Michael Clarke was the next best scorer with 47. He was also dismissed by Asif.



Mike Hussey is undefeated on 33.
