Forever Mine to rule again
Midweek racing resumes at Caymanas Park today with a 10-race card scheduled to start at 1:10 p.m.
There will be no trophy races on the card and as a result the three-year-old and up Open Allowance event takes the spotlight.
The race, to be run over 1100-metres, has attracted only six starters, but despite the small field, there is good form present.
Included in the line-up are the recent fast-time winner COMMANDER ZERO, to be ridden by champion jockey Omar Walker for champion trainer Wayne DaCosta, stable-companion MR SKILL, ROMEZ, who bids for his fourth consecutive win and FOREVER MINE, who is down from grade-one company.
The race will more than likely come down COMMANDER ZERO and old rival FOREVER MINE, from the stables of Neive Graham.
When both last met over the distance on April 28 in open-allowance company, FOREVER MINE, with five-time champion Trevor Simpson aboard, led home COMMANDER ZERO by 3-and-a-quarter lengths and is expected to rule again.
