Reggae Boyz slip two places in FIFA rankings
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz suffered a two-place drop in the latest FIFA rankings and are now ranked at 83rd.
The Jamaicans are seven places behind Caribbean neighbours Trinidad and Tobago, who moved up 19 places in the rankings.
Meanwhile, World Cup winner Spain have moved atop the rankings, with runner-up Netherlands moving up to second.
The reigning world and European champion overtook Brazil, who slipped to third in the table released yesterday.
Germany climbs two places to Number 4 on the basis of their third-place showing in South Africa, ahead of Argentina and World Cup semifinalist Uruguay.
England, Portugal, Egypt and Chile round out the top 10.
Chile moved eight places in the latest rankings, but the biggest jump was made by New Zealand. They climbed 24 spots to 54th.
The United States gained a spot to 13th.
Italy, the 2006 World Cup winner, dropped out of the top 10 to 11th. France fell 12 places to 21st.
