Cole passes medical to complete Liverpool move

England midfielder Joe Cole has passed his medical examination and signed a four-year contract with Liverpool.
The Premier League club says the 28-year-old Cole will wear the Number 10 shirt.
Cole is Roy Hodgson's first signing since becoming manager on July 1, 2010 and arrives on a free transfer after his Chelsea contract ended.
Cole fills the creative midfield role vacated by Yossi Benayoun when he joined Chelsea two weeks ago.
