Gruesome discovery in Trinidad

The Trinidad and Tobago police are investigating the gruesome deaths of two persons.

The decapitated and dismembered bodies of two people, including a child, were found in a dump at Claxton Bay, south of Port of Spain.

Police said scavengers found the bodies after noticing some vultures pecking at two bags in the area.

They said that body parts were found by a nearby ravine and that one of the heads appeared to be that of a child between the ages of five and 10.

So far, 296 people have been murdered in Trinidad and Tobago this year, re-igniting calls for the resumption of state hangings, the last of which happened in 1999.
