Under 19 Round Up

Windward Islands are sole leaders of TCL Group West Indies Under-19 Challenge in St Lucia after picking up first innings points from champions Jamaica in their top-of-the-table clash at the Beausejour Cricket Ground.



The match ended in a draw after Windward Islands scored 290 replying to Jamaica’s first innings total of 177.



Atticus Browne led the Windward Islands with 106 and was supported by Dwight Thomas with 67.



Nicholson Gordon was the most successful bowler for Jamaica with three for 76, while Donovan Nelson had two for 60.



Over at Gros Islet playing field Leeward Islands and Trinidad and Tobago also played to a draw on today’s third and final day of their fourth round encounter.



Final scores in that game are Leeward Islands 245 and 134, T&T 298 for six declared.



While over at Dennery playing field, the game between Barbados and Guyana ended in a no decision.



All three games were badly affected by rain. The entire second day’s play in all matches were washed out yesterday.
