World Junior team to arrive tonight

Jamaica's delegation to the 13th World Junior Championships in Moncton, Canada is scheduled to arrive at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston tonight at 9.



Jamaica ended the championship with three medals including a gold, a silver and a bronze.



Dexter Lee won Jamaica’s gold medal in the men’s 100 metres to defend his title. The men’s sprint relay team won the silver and the women’s 4 by 400-metre relay team took the bronze medal.



Jamaica ended the championships 10th overall in the medal table and ninth in the placings with 49 points.



Kenya topped the medal standings with a haul of 15, including seven gold, four silver and four bronze.



The USA also won 15 medals, but with six gold, five silver and four bronze.
