Eoin Morgan hit his first test hundred as England took charge against Pakistan today by reaching 331 for 4 at stumps on day one of the first test in Trent Bridge, England.
Morgan, previously considered a one-day specialist, underlined his credentials as a test-class batsman with a stylish unbeaten 125 from 182 balls that included 18 fours and a spectacular six to bring up his century.
He shared an unbroken fifth-wicket partnership of 213 with Paul Collingwood, who is on 81 from 168 balls.
Mohammad Aamer was the top bowler for Pakistan with 3 for 39.
England chose to bat first after winning the toss, despite overcast conditions that aided Pakistan's opening bowlers.
