ICC confirms Isaac new vice president

The International Cricket Council (ICC), confirmed Alan Isaac of New Zealand as its new vice president today.
Cricket Australia and New Zealand Cricket jointly nominated Isaac for the position after their earlier nomination of former Australian Prime Minister John Howard was blocked by six of the ICC's 10 full members.
Isaac will now step down as chairman of New Zealand Cricket.
ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat says Isaac's focus will be on the scheduling of the Future Tours Program, the ICC's calendar of international cricket.
Isaac succeeded John Anderson as chairman of New Zealand Cricket in 2008 and is a former chairman of the New Zealand division of global accounting firm KPMG.
