Coach Bob Bradley will resume conversations with the US Soccer Federation about his future following tonight's international friendly against Brazil.
Bradley led the Americans to the second round of the World Cup, where they were eliminated in a 2-1 extra-time loss to Ghana.
His contract expires in December.
He said yesterday he has had preliminary talks with the US Soccer Federation leadership, led by president Sunil Gulati and secretary general Dan Flynn.
British media speculated yesterday that Bradley would be considered for the Aston Villa job that opened when Martin O'Neill suddenly quit five days ahead of the club's opener.
