Boys’ Town, August Town record victories

Boys’ Town and August Town recorded victories yesterday at Collie Smith Drive in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association/Claro Champions League Cup.



In the feature game of the double-header, Boys’ Town defeated Harbour View 3-1 in their top-of-the-table Group ‘B’ clash.



As a result of the victory, Boys’ Town won the group ahead of Harbour View to qualify for the semi-finals with a perfect nine points.



Harbour View have also qualified for the semi-finals.



Marvin Morgan, Renae Lloyd and Michel Campbell scored first half goals for the Boys Town.



Harbour View had taken an early lead after Macelino Blackburn put them ahead from the penalty spot in the second minute.



In the first game at the venue, August Town blanked Seaview 2-0 with Omari Edwards scoring both goals.



The competition continues this afternoon with a Zone ‘A’ double-header at Waterhouse Mini Stadium.



Last place Arnett Gardens and third place Cavalier will face off in the opening game at 4 p.m., while second-from-the-bottom Tivoli Gardens will tackle second place University of the West Indies at 6 p.m.
