Jamaica take charge over St Vincent
Jamaica have restricted hosts St Vincent and the Grenadines to 102 for eight after 45 overs in their semi-final match of the West Indies Women’s limited overs competition at Arnos Vale Playing Field Two.
Chadean Nation has so far led the bowling for Jamaica with three wickets.
Left-arm spinner Shanel Daley supported well with two wickets for 15 runs off her allotted 10 overs. Daley was responsible for the key wicket of captain Cordel Jack for 10.
Over at Arnos Vale Playing Field One, reigning champions Trinidad and Tobago were 118 for three off 35 overs in the other semi-final match against archrivals Barbados.
Britney Cooper is unbeaten on 50 and Stacy-Ann King is on 24.
In the play-off match at Stubbs, St Lucia bowled out Grenada for 89 off 29.3 overs. At one stage, Grenada were 51 for one in the 16th overs.
The other playoff-match between Dominica and Guyana at Victoria Park has been delayed due to bad weather.
