Costa Rica team to arrive in Jamaica on Sept 4
Costa Rican footballers will arrive in Jamaica on September 4 a day before their friendly international against the Reggae Boyz at the National Stadium in Kingston.
The game will be the first of two friendly internationals for the Jamaicans in two days as the Reggae Boyz are also down to face South American outfit Peru on September 7.
The Costa Ricans will be travelling with a 22-man squad including 10 overseas-based players.
This will be the first time the two teams are meeting since the Gold Cup in 2009 when Costa Rica beat Jamaica 1-0 from a goal by Celso Borges.
The Reggae Boyz are using the game for their preparation for the Digicel Caribbean Cup and the World Cup qualification campaign for Brazil 2014.
In their last international friendly, the Reggae Boyz dispatched fierce rivals Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Warriors 3-1 in the two-island republic on August 11.
