Hurricane Earl, now a category 4 storm is heading for the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Overnight it dumped several inches of rainfall and caused wind damage in the Leeward’s Islands.
Latest forecast show that Earl is packing winds of 213 kilometres per hour and is now about 335 kilometres east of Grand Turk.
However, storm force winds extend 325 kilometres from the centre of Earl which means that the TCI could soon start to feel the impact of this powerful storm.
In the meantime, Tropical Storm Fiona is now passing though the Leeward Islands almost on the same track as Earl.
