Brazil to play Iran in friendly in Abu Dhabi

SAO PAULO (AP) — Brazil will play Iran in a friendly in the United Arab Emirates next month.
The Brazilian football federation says the five-time world champions will meet the Iranians in Abu Dhabi, likely on Oct. 7.
Federation spokesman Rodrigo Paiva says the official announcement is pending the signing of the contract between the two federations.
Paiva said Monday that Brazil is set to play another friendly after facing Iran, but the opponent has not been confirmed yet. Local media says Brazil will likely face Ukraine in London on Oct. 11.
