A group of supporters of Marlon Samuels yesterday staged a one-hour march in Half Way Tree to protest the two-year ban handed down by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) recently.
The group, organised and led by dancehall artist Horace ‘L.A. Lewis’ Lewis was armed with placards which displayed ‘Free Marlon Samuels’.
The Jamaican and West Indies middle-order batsman was banned after being found guilty of inappropriate dealings with an Indian gambler.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) enforced the mandatory ban on the 27 year old backdated from May 9.
