The Disciplinary Committee of the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) has suspended six players for their part in two different incidents during the rural area daCosta Cup football competition.

The suspended players are goalkeeper Davion Graham and Aldane Kennedy of Petersfield and Curtis Francis, Shane Thompson, Tevon Thomas and Jemar Miller from Brimmervale.

The four players from Brimmervale have been suspended for the remainder of the daCosta Cup season, while the players from Petersfield were also suspended for the remainder of the season plus three matches for the 2011/2012 season.

Graham and Kennedy were involved in a fracas, which caused the October 6 game between Petersfield High and Manning’s High to end prematurely.

Kennedy was punished for throwing a chair at a Manning’s High teacher.

In addition, Petersfield will not be allowed to host any home matches for the rest of the season. The match was awarded to Manning’s with a 2-0 scoreline.

Francis, Thompson, Thomas and Mills were suspended for their role in the fracas during the Brimmer Vale, St Mary High game on Wednesday, October 6 at Brimmervale.

The school will not be allowed to host any games for the remaining of the season plus one match for the 2011-2012 season.
