Waterford defeat Jamaica College

Waterford High scored a 1-0 victory over Jamaica College to secure top honours in Group ‘A’ as the first round of the ISSA/Pepsi/Manning Cup competition ended yesterday.



The game was played at Waterford High in Portmore.



Victory means that Waterford High have qualified for the Walker Cup Knockout competition as group winner, while Jamaica College advanced as one of the two best second place teams.



Also in the group, St Mary’s College scored a 5-1 victory over Camperdown.



Over in Group ‘F’, Eltham blanked St Catherine 2-0 and Kingston College recorded a similar 2-0 victory over Tarrant High.



In other games Ascot beat Vauxhall 2-0 and Jose Marti turned back Dunoon Technical 5-1 in Group ‘B’.
