Two year olds take centre stage at Caymanas Park
The native-bred two-year-olds will hold centre stage at Caymanas Park tomorrow in the day’s feature, the annual renewal of the Royal Lancaster Trophy over the round five course.
The race will be contested by seven maiden and untried colts and geldings.
The field includes three newcomers; the most advanced being the Philip Feanny-trained DON GEORGE, a bay colt by Royal Minister out of Lunar Explosion, to be ridden by five-time champion jockey Trevor Simpson.
But the one to beat must surely be the Richard Azan-trained TURBINE, who will be racing for the fourth time.
TURBINE has finished second in his last two races and based on the quality of those performances, will not go down easily in this sharp sprint. Panamanian jockey Dick Cardenas will ride.
There are nine other races on the card with post time being 12:20.
