The Government of Haiti says more than 500 people have now died in the current cholera epidemic, while the number of cases has passed 7,000.
There are also fears that the outbreak may have now spread to the capital, Port-au-Prince.
Relief agencies are trying to get clean drinking water to the areas worst affected by the flooding caused by Hurricane Tomas.
According to the charity, Save the Children, in the town of Leogane, the streets were turned into rivers and some 35,000 people have been affected by the flooding.
In St Marc, the region where the cholera outbreak began three weeks ago, doctors say there have been more cases since the hurricane, and they are beginning to see patients with cholera and typhoid fever at the same time.
