Antigua and Barbuda has knighted the outgoing CARICOM Secretary General, Edwin Carrington, for what Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer has described as his sterling contribution to the regional grouping and Caribbean integration.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Spencer says the process of finding a suitable successor to fill the top CARICOM post is ongoing.

However, he says it’s not going to be easy to replace Sir Edwin, especially coming at a very critical and challenging time for the region.
