Thousands of angry university students took to the streets in England yesterday to protest against plans by the government to increase tuition fees and cut funding.
Student leaders say about 50,000 people took part in a march.
Demonstrators reportedly stormed a building in Westminster housing the Conservative Party headquarters and smashed windows.
Outside, a crowd of thousands reportedly surged as placards and banners were set on fire and missiles thrown.
The student leaders condemned the action.
Scotland Yard reports that 14 people have been injured, including seven police officers but no one was seriously hurt.
About 32 people were also arrested.
